Rusty the Cat needs a home


This little charmer is six-month-old Rusty. About six weeks ago, he was living in the back parking lot of at a west-end shopping strip. We suspect he was surviving on pasta or bread as he was small for his age, and he positively galloped into a trap baited with chicken livers. Since then, he has more than doubled in weight.

Rusty was shy at first, but from Day I of his rescue he loved being cuddled. He is still scared around strangers, but he will warm up -- and within a week he will be on your lap. Rusty loves to play with toys and other cats, and enjoys those lovely post-prandial naps, and purring sessions with his companion owner.

 

Coming from an outdoor colony, Rusty must either be adopted with another cat (preferably a young and playful kitty) or go to a home with a  friendly cat in residence. He seems unfazed by a visiting small dog.
